Kadam Morten Clausen is the Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition & Resident Teacher at the KMC New York City. For over 40 years he has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Kadam Morten is greatly admired as a meditation teacher and is especially known for his clarity, humor and inspirational presentation of Dharma. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Kadam Morten will give the introductory talk Friday night, grant the empowerment, and give teachings.

Kadam Michelle Gauthier is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center DC and has been a disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for more than 25 years. Before coming to DC, she served as the Resident Teacher at KMC Tampa Bay. She has also been the Second Teacher, EPC and Treasurer at the IKRC Grand Canyon in Williams, AZ, and Resident Teacher at KMC South Carolina, KMC Phoenix, and Dharmachakra Center in Palm Springs, CA. She is an inspiring example of Modern Buddhism in practice. She presents Buddha’s teachings with beautiful clarity, warmth and sincerity, skillfully guiding people from all walks of life to find inner peace and lasting happiness.

Gen Kelsang Chogden is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland. She has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 1998 under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, who gave her the title “Gen” indicating that she is a senior ordained teacher of the Kadampa Tradition. Gen Chogden is well-loved for her warmth, kindness, and wisdom, which have come from her sincere and heartfelt practice of Kadam Dharma over many years. Her teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through her gentle and joyful approach and her peaceful example, she has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.

John Baker is the Resident Teacher of KMC Philadelphia. Having been a student of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for over 25 years, he is well-qualified to give all levels of teachings within Modern Buddhism. In his professional life he works as a sound engineer.
