Kadam Morten Clausen is the Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition & Resident Teacher at the KMC New York City. For over 30 years he has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Kadam Morten is greatly admired as a meditation teacher and is especially known for his clarity, humor and inspirational presentation of Dharma. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. This year Kadam Morten will grant the empowerment of Buddha White Tara and give teachings on the practice of the Five Forces.
Gen Kelsang Chogden is an American Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland. Gen Chogden has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for over 18 years under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Gen Chogden’s compassionate activities of teaching, guiding and inspiring those around her are the result of her deep faith, clear wisdom, and heartfelt concern for others that brings true sincerity and humility to her life as a spiritual teacher. Through her gentle and joyful approach and her peaceful example, she has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts. Gen Chogden will guide the meditations during MADC.
Gen Kelsang Nyema, has been the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington, DC, since March 2015. Before her appointment in Washington, DC, she served as the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina for nearly seven years. Prior to that, she was the Education Program Coordinator at Kadampa Meditation Center Georgia for over five years.
